· CURISA and CGITA have opened registration for the 2008 GIS in the Carolinas Conference. The conference will be held in Concord, NC at the Concord Convention Center and Embassy Suites on September 7-9. Click here for registration and preliminary program.

| · CURISA officers and board members met to discuss 2007 conference wrap-up issues, upcoming membership drive, 'on-demand' workshop program, our next GIS Corps donation and the 2008 CURISA and CGITA Conference. |
| · The 2008 CURISA and CGITA Conference will be held in Concord, NC at the Concord Convention Center / Embassy Suites on September 7-9, 2008.The 7th will be set aside for early arrivals, possibly a golf touney, reception, etc.The 8th will be all workshops and this year one workshop is included in registration.The 9th will be a multi-tracked program. |
| · CURISA sponsored three GIS day events: Wake County, NC; Western Carolina University; and Union County, NC.We hope to expand this program next year! |
